| 内容記述 | 【研究目的】Ｔ島における高齢者の外出支援としてのボランティア移送サービスの特徴、及び高齢者と移送ボランティアの特徴を明らかにし、互助機能の高さを活かしたボランティア活動の拡大化について考察する。【研究方法】対象地域は、1島1村型のＴ島。対象者は、ボランティア移送サービスを「今すぐ利用希望」とした高齢者と実際に利用した高齢者、及び移送ボランティアである。データとして、ワーキング会議資料及び議事録、移送等ニーズ調査結果等を用いた。事例調査として、高齢者と移送ボランティアに聞き取り調査を行い、質的帰納的に内容分析を行った。【結果及び考察】１）ボランティア移送サービスの特徴として、利用対象者、利用目的、利用方法等において、高齢者にとって利便性があった。２）過去のニーズ調査において、「今すぐ利用希望」とした高齢者は26人で、その内5人が実際に利用し、その他に「希望なし」4人も利用していた。年齢、性別、世帯構成、サービス利用の有無、主観的健康観、日常生活状況、外出頻度には関係なく利用していた。利用したい場所は港を中心に診療所、役場、郵便局が加わっていた。３）移送ボランティアとして、ワーキングメンバー5人に加え、住民2人が登録し、高齢者のニーズに応じて、臨機応変に対応していた。職業では自営業が多く、全員が地域活動歴を有していた。４）互助機能の高さを活かしたボランティア活動の拡大化として、ボランティア移送サービスをきっかけに、ワーキングメンバー以外の住民の参加がみられたことは、今後もボランティア活動が拡大していく可能性を示唆していた。専門職者は、住民の力が発揮出来るような基盤整備や、当事者のニーズと活動を繋ぐマネジメント機能を強化していく必要がある。|【Objective】To identify the characteristics of a voluntary transfer service for elders and of elders using and volunteers providing the service, and ultimately to determine an expansion of volunteer activities to make best use of the high level of mutual assistance available on T Island. 【Methods】The target region was a one island-one municipality type isolated island. Subjects were elders who requested use of the “immediate voluntary transfer service”, elders who actually used the voluntary transfer service, and volunteers who provided the service. The data examined were meeting documents and records of working group meetings, and the results of our “research of needs for transfer service”. Interviews were carried out with the elders and volunteers, and qualitative and inductive data analysis was carried out. 【Results and Discussion】1) Characteristics were determined for the users of the service, the purposes of the service, and the ways in which using the service facilitated convenience for the elders. 2) Five of the 26 elders who requested immediate use of the service used it. Four other elders who did not specify their needs for using the transfer service also used the service. Service users did not differ in terms of age, gender, household structure, use of Long-term Care Insurance Services, subjective health, daily living conditions or frequency of going out. The destinations of the transfer service were the harbor, clinic, municipality office and post office; necessary places for the elders to visit. 3) Five members of the working group and 2 other inhabitants registered as volunteers of the transfer service. They provided a flexible service to meet the needs of elders. Many of the volunteers were self-employed, and all had experience of community activities. 4)The expansion of volunteer transfer activities made possible by the 2 other volunteers joining the working group members appeared to make the best use of the high level of mutual assistance available on the island. Health professionals need to work on creating a base for volunteer inhabitants to offer their knowledge and skills fully, and to reinforce management functions, enabling those interested in resident initiative activities to volunteer. | |||||
