| 内容記述 | 背景：琉球政府の行った看護教育の特徴は琉球大學と提携した教育を行ったことである。その１つは１年間の琉球大学委託制度（以下、「琉大委託制度」と省略）である。1954年から1972年までの19年間にわたり継続したが、これまで本制度に関する研究は全く行われていない。目的：琉大委託制度及び修了者の経歴や役割認識等を通し、沖縄の看護の基盤整備にもたらした制度の意義及び修了者が沖縄の看護の向上に果たした役割を究明する。現在、公文的な関係書類の入手が困難なことから、調査を行うことで指導者等の発言や記述の検証と共に沖縄の看護史の正しい記録資料に資することを目的とする。研究デザイン：琉大委託修了者121名を対象にアンケート調査を行い、調査結果及び当時の教育関係者の情報を基に、可能な限り客観的に史実としての検証に留意する。結果：本制度は、沖縄の看護の人材育成を目的として琉球大學規則により、1954年に開始し1972年まで継続して123名が修了、本土復帰を期に廃止された。修了者の経歴から90%以上は看護関係職に従事し、看護教諭の経験者は33%である。修了者の多くは看護行政、教育、臨床で管理的な指導者として重要な役割を果たしている。個別には大學教育を通して幅広く知識を学び、自己実現に役立つたと高く評価している。1960年代に入り､厚生省認定の看護教師の確保が進み制度の有効活用に形骸化が生じている。当時、制度の意義を再認識していたならば指導者層の更なる育成に繋がったと考える。琉大委託制度は看護の人材育成により看護の質および社会的地位の向上等、本県の看護の基盤整備に多大な貢献を為し、目的を充分達成したと評価したい。また、沖縄の看護教育史に関する記述の確認や一部修正を行うことが出来た。 Background:Ａmajor feature of the nursing education given by the government of the Ryukyus is the one carried out under the contract with the University of the Ryukyus. The purpose of the program was to give education for a period of one year to the future leaders in nursing. Our records show that between 1954 and 1972, 121 students attended and finished the program. Apparently no follow up studies or surveys of any kind seem to have been done with regard to this particular program. Purpose: By clarifying the roles that those graduates played in the way of contributing to the advancement of nursing in Okinawa we would like to assess the significance of the government sanctioned education carried out by the University of the Ryukyus. Due to the paucity of the official records relating to the program, we would primarily rely upon the oral or written records of the memory of the participants left by them, thereby contributing to the reconstruction of the partial picture of the history of nursing in Okinawa. Design: Questionnaires were distributed to the graduates of the program. Through these suvery and analysis of these, we would like to arrive at gaining as much objective view of the program as possible. Results: The program terminated as of 1972 when the reversion the Okinawan administration to the mainland Japan took place. More than 90% of the graduate of the program pursued their career as professional nurses. 33% of them also had a teaching experience in the area of nursing. Many of the graduate were found to have gone into nursing administration, education, assuming leadership roles. Many of them also voiced their positive view toward the program. After 1960th the way the nursing leaders were recruited underwent drastic change thereby the importance of the program itself tended to have been minimally recognized. If the policy of further nurturing of the program were adopted at the time, the effect of the program would have been greater. Nonetheless, the overall effect of the program was considered to be strong enough to enhance the quality of not only nursing but social life in Okinawa as well. |
