We used videotaping and coating fluorescent materials to record hand washing technique and the area where were not clean. In the usual hand washing, nursing faculty focus on the area where hands need cleaning as compared to the non-nursing faculty. Nursing faculty improved their skill after reeducation of clean hand washing technique; however, only half of nursing faculty acquired preliminary hand washing and actions that prevent spreading contamination. Tips of fingers and around the joints are the area where are not clean enough even after improvement of hand washing technique among subjects.
